Suh Dong-Soo (played by Kim Ji-Hoon)Suh Dong-Soo is the oldest son in his family. He never backs out in any occasion where he see’s people in a poor state and likes to help them out. Although he has nothing in procession and wasn’t taught right, he always kept his chin up. When he is angry his temper is like fire, but if someone does not get on his back first, he would not show his fierce side. If you take away all the bad points of him not having money or the smarts, he is man full of many charms. A elderly grandma, a father who has lived his whole life with a heart full of sorrow, an immature younger brother and even a younger sister that he is too scared to mention because he already has a handful to take care of. These are all his family members that he takes care of. Sixteen years ago, when he was a freshman in middle school, his father had a huge accident that caused several people to die. His father was framed because of this incident and because this was not enough, a certain someone ran with all his father’s money! That person also put his mother into shock which led her to pass away as well! He will never drop low to the ground because of that nonhuman-like creature! His father will find that person and take revenge along with his wife! Dong-Soo is an engineer that studies and events things. Not only that, he’s a town proctor. He lives every day very busily! Because of his father’s situation, Dong-Soo lived his life very honestly and sincerely.
Lee Sun-Joo (Jo Yuh-Jung)Sun-Joo is Lee Dae-Yang’s daughter who runs a night club (and something else). As she was maturing, she grew up hearing such comments as ‘Why are you such a disgrace?’ from her father. To other people’s eyes, she is just an ordinary girl that no one would hate. But to her father eyes who is very greedy when it comes to having children, she was just a failure (did not like her) who looked as if she came from the countryside. She was just a failure that could not meet up with her father’s standards. Because of this, there was never a time where she straightforwardly tackled her dad. She did not have the confident to surpass her father’s charisma. She even feels that she is a disgrace after hearing it from her father all her life. That is why she feels the world as a very lonely place. Because of her father, who scares her the most. In front of her father, she feels as if she is shrinking. In order to get away from her father, she needs to put a lot of effort into it, but she does not have the effort to do so. Recently she was doing some business that she found on the internet in some shopping mall site. She got caught by her father and got scolded even more. So she is taking lessons of being a good wife when she gets married at her father’s company, where she is learning how to cook. She is always feeling sleepy and yawning…but there is nothing she can do, but to just follow her father’s order.
Lee Hae-Joo (Yoon Se-Ah)Sun-Joo’s sister.. Both are born on the same day and are the same age. (So they are basically twins).
In Korea, she was majoring in English up to her sophomore year in college. Following her father’s order, she goes to America to study abroad. She comes back to Korea and now is working at her father’s company. Right when she was born, she had a good appetite with a good sense of taste in things, as well as being very modernized…just like coming from a wealthy family. The opposite of Sun-Joo. A life that you can live perfectly from just looking pretty…Hae-Joo also has the brains and family wealth along with her beauty. She’s some sort of a perfect woman.
Oh Hyung-Chul (Jung-Chan)He is some kind of plan making manager for Sun-Joo’s father’s company… His father died when he was five years old. He was raised by his grandmother. He was born to be a strong competitor. He never gave away his number one ranking at schools (top student) and he never lost to anyone with how much effort he puts into his work. His life goal is just to be successful. All he did was study off his butt while his mother was working very hard and taking care of his brothers. Because of his situation, the smile on his face kept disappearing as time passed by. During Junior year in college, he got a job offer from his professor as a internship, and it is when he meets Sun-Joo. In order to work there, the deal was for him to go study abroad in America at Stanford University to get his MBA.
